According to Drive, Tesla may launch a dual-purpose passenger/cargo van model in 2024 that can be freely defined for use, which is expected to be based on the Cybertruck.

According to planning documents released by a U.S. auto industry analyst firm, Tesla may be preparing to launch an electric van in 2024, with production set to begin in January 2024 at its Texas facility. If the information (which has not been confirmed by Tesla) is accurate, the new model will be built on the same platform as or based on the Cybertruck.

Based on the dimensions of the Cybertruck, it may have a longer wheelbase and interior space performance than the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.

In July, Elon Musk hinted that a "highly customizable smart van (Robovan) that can carry people or cargo" was also in the works. However, Tesla has not yet confirmed this news, as Musk also said earlier that a lower and more entry-level model will be launched in the future, but if the news is accurate, the Robovan could be unveiled in 2023.
