At the same time, Cybertruck actual car made another appearance, causing the audience to applaud. During the opening ceremony, Tesla CEO Elon Musk drove Tesla's electric sports car Roadster to the stage to give a speech.

In this speech, Musk said the Texas super factory is the world's largest car factory, covering an area of more than 12,000 acres, which is three times the size of the U.S. Pentagon, and is also the largest of the super factories that the company has identified.

Not only does it have the world's largest die-casting machine, the Texas Superplant also features a compact, one-piece layout that makes the various shops closely connected, just like a chip design, greatly improving transportation and production efficiency. "The raw material comes in on one side, goes through a series of processes, and the car comes out on the other side." Musk described it this way.

The Texas mega-factory will increase production capacity to 1 million vehicles per year, of which the Model Y single product will reach 500,000 vehicles per year, and will also bring the three most core process innovations of 4680 cells, structured battery packs and one-piece die-cast front bodies.

Musk also revealed that the theme of the Texas factory in 2022 is capacity climbing, while 2023 will be a big year for Tesla's new products, the Texas super factory will start mass production of the pickup truck model Cybertruck, close to a second to break 100 sports car model Roadster 2 and electric truck model Semi, in addition to the Tesla Bot Optimus Version1 version will The Tesla Bot Optimus (Version 1) is expected to go into production, and the Texas superfactory will likely become the world's largest battery production facility in the future.

At the end of the opening ceremony, Tesla's chief designer Franz took the stage in the Cybertruck to show the public its door handle-less design. "We don't need door handles, the car will know when you need to open the door." Musk said.

It is worth mentioning that shortly before this, Tesla's first factory in Europe, the Berlin Superfactory, had just opened. Along with the global wave of accelerated penetration of new energy vehicles, the new power of car-making is actively expanding its market share, and Tesla is no exception.

In the past two years, Tesla has continued to set new delivery records, and the latest data show that in the first quarter of 2022, Tesla's global deliveries exceeded 310,000 units, once again setting a new best result. In addition to the better delivery results in the Chinese market, in the first quarter its electric car market in France, topping the list of registrations; in the Norwegian market, Model 3 and Model Y models occupy more than 18% of the electric car market share; in the Spanish market, Tesla Model 3 became the best-selling electric car model in the first quarter of 2022.
