Tesla Model 3/Y to be offered at $3,750 discount in the U.S.

According to Twitter user @SawyerMerritt, Tesla will offer a $3,750 discount on the Model 3 and Model Y for deliveries in the U.S. market before the end of December. It is reported that Tesla's move is to encourage buyers to pick up their cars within this month because according to the federal tax credit regulations introduced in the United States next year, the electric car tax credit will be greater than the current one, which will cause Tesla to build up a larger inventory of vehicles at the end of the fourth quarter of this year.

Tesla's current inventory on its website shows that Tesla has a large number of Model 3 and a portion of high-performance Model Y vehicles available for delivery in December, and it is clear that Tesla is hoping to use this discount to drive sales and deliver growth in the local market in the final month of 2022.

It is understood that Tesla's recent cancellations in the U.S. market are significantly higher than usual, and the key factor causing this phenomenon is believed to be the long waiting time to pick up the car, due to the new U.S. federal tax credit provisions, if the purchase of the relevant pure electric vehicles next year, when the reference to the new electric vehicle tax credit allows users to get up to $ 7,500 discount.
